When I was at seminary Dr. Patterson challenged us to pray every morning something like this: Lord, give me an opportunity to share the gospel and when that opportunity comes along help me to see it and to boldly share the gospel with confidence.” I am going to pray this everyday as well as to pray that God would bring somebody into my life who might be hurting or who needs discipleship or maybe just some encouragement.  Please join me in praying this and also praying it in your own life that God would show you people who are hurting and need the gospel and that need encouragement.  Let’s make every moment matter for eternity and leave a legacy that will last!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1DEMDfFSmk I was listening to Randy Hongo share his testimony on youtube last night and it reminded me that we can do many good things for Jesus and serve Him, and not really spend time with Him.  What He really wants is our heart, and for us to love Him and spend time with Him.  In his testimony Randy Hongo said that when he was in the hospital he would pray to Jesus and say, "Jesus I'm sorry I cannot serve you or do anything for you."  He said that he heard Jesus say, "Just rest in Me, my son.  I just want to love you."  It made me think of something my mentor Mary Kaye said.  To know Jesus is to love Jesus and if we love Jesus we will want to know Him more!!  It also made me think about how she is always talking about spending time with Jesus moment by moment.  I will always remember her talking about how she starts her day with prayer and bible study and how she prays saying, "Order my steps Lord, order my...

If y'all have been keeping up with me it's about 35 days left until I leave for Hawai'i!  I can't believe how fast it is coming and how many doors God has opened to get me to this point in my life and to prepare me for this opportunity! I can't believe that it was just this past summer that I went to the Southern Baptist Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.  In case you haven't been to the SBC conventions you can get a lot of free stuff, haha.  I went to the NAMB booth to get a free shirt and while we were there we were supposed to sign up to pray for church planters in a certain state or area.  I put down that I wanted to pray for Hawai.  I  have felt like God has put Hawaii on my heart at different times for several years.  So it made sense for me to put down that I was going to pray for Hawaii.  At that time I wasn't really thinking I was going to go to Hawaii though just that I was going to pray for the church planters there. ...
