Seeing God through a father’s love

Today I went to a friends wedding and watched her become united in marriage to the man God had prepared for her, to the one she loves with all her heart.  Y'all I don't remember how long I have known Kathy Grace but she has been a blessing to me.  From the first day I met her she has always been super encouraging to me and super sweeet.  She always has a smile on her face and I can see the love of God and love of others on her face. When I left to take seminary classes online she is one person I missed the most.  The kind of love Kathy Grace has can only come from God and from parents who love God and have raised their children to love God. Y'all today I watched Kathy Grace's father perform their wedding ceremony.  He was sharing the gospel y'all.  He was sharing the truth from God's Word.  It was a godly wedding ceremony and every time I see him and his wife I can see how much they love God and how much they love others.  When Kathy Grace dance...

The B•I•B•L•E yes that’s the book for me!

Do you remember the song that you sang as a child growing up? Or maybe you still sing it now? It goes like this.  The BIBLE yes that’s the book for me.  I stand alone on the word of God, the BIBLE. We need to get back to the faith of a child.  We need to get back to the faith of a child sitting at their father’s feet just wanting to hear from him.  We need to get back to the point where the Bible is more important than our thoughts or our feelings or anything else.  We need to stand alone on the word of God.  We need to stand up for the truths in God’s Word.  We need to stop worrying about being like the world and stop worrying so much about offending people and stop worrying about being politically correct.  We need to worry about being pleading and obedient to God.  We need to love people but we need to love them to Christ! We can’t be hypocritical but we need to stand up for the truth in God’s Word.  Some people may never listen...

Counseling the broken and bringing people back to God

Biblical counseling has changed my life.  Some people may not understand it or really know what it is but it’s helped me to grow closer to Christ and to realize what I should really be focusing on and who I should be focusing on.  I’ve gone through a lot of pain in my life and struggled though a lot of things and I’ve come to realize that everything that happens in my life has happened to make me more like Christ.  I didn’t have a lot of discipleship growing up but God has provided me with mentors and people to counsel me from the Bible here at seminary and in Arizona and it has changed my life and helped me to grow in my walk with God.
