Living by the Bible
Hey y’all the Bible is sufficient! It is the words of Jesus and it has all the answers we need for our problems. I can think of so many examples in just the Psalms alone! “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall get praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” Psalm 43:5
“But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.” Psalm 3:3

“Whenever I am afraid I will trust in You” Psalm 56:3.
There are so many more y’all. I remember my mentor Mary Kaye Wonner quoting scripture after scripture we could turn to in the midst of trials or when things seem hard. Jesus is your hope y’all. You don’t have to walk alone. He sent you His Holy Spirit to comfort you and to help you and He gave you the Bible to comfort you and help you in time of need.
For people who struggle with the belief that there might not even be a God, I can assure you there is and that He is there for you and loves you! I look back at all the times I’ve seen God work in my life and continue to see God working in my life and I know He is real! My belief on God isn’t based on my feelings or anything else anyways but is based on the all sufficient Word of God! Sometimes I struggle with depression or with what people say I am. It is in those moments that I try to focus my mind on God and His Word. I try to have a mind of Thanksgiving thanking God for what He has done in my life. Instead of focusing on what others think of me or what I think of me I think about who the Bible says I am! Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” I had never really thought about the part where it says with thanksgiving until one of my mentors started talking to me about thanksgiving. If we approach God with prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving then the peace of God will guard our hearts and our minds! When we focus on God and the things of God we will be in a better place! “Set your mind on things above and not on things of the earth.” Colossians 3:2
To have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5-11) we need to have a mind of humility and to be focused on the things of Christ!
The Bible is sufficient! (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible shows us how to have a relationship with Christ! It shows us how to be closer to God. When we are focused on ourselves it shows us how to focus on God and others! It shows us who we are in Christ! “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:1
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith! (Hebrews 12:2) He is faithful and everything He says He will do! He will never leave or forsake you! He loves you and wants you to turn towards Him and spend time with Him! He wants you to draw closer to Him and get to now Him! Let’s run the race so we may win the Heavenly prize which God has called us upward to in Christ Jesus! (Philippians 3:12-14)

I loved reading this blog; it is so wonderful because it affirms that we can always depend on the Word of God in any situation. God is so real and we can always have faith in Him in any situation and He will see us through it. It has certainly been proven time and time again in my life and continues to be so. God bless you, Lisa, as you continue to follow in God's plan for your life. Love you so much.
