Leaving Hawaii and going back to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

I’ve decided that I’m going to go back to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the fall to finish my degree on campus.  This is something I’ve thought about before but kind of fought against the idea and made excuses why I shouldn’t or why it wouldn’t work.  It’s interesting how God brought me all the way to Hawaii to confirm to me that where I need to be right now is Texas.  I feel like this has been a life changing summer for me.  I feel like it has made a great impact on the way my future will be.  I love Hawaii and the people here and hope to return someday soon.  It is only Aloha for now Hawaii but A hou hui!  I will see you again someday Lord willing!  In the meanwhile I feel it is important for me to go and finish studying bible counseling and preparing as best as I can for what God has called me to do.  I may not be sure of what that is exactly right now but I know God will show me.  I see this summer as a time of transition and a time of learning and an opportunity to stretch and grow and be more like Christ! I am looking forward to using what God has taught me at Southwestern.  Something I’ve learned is you can have a spirit of aloha wherever you go and for the time being the place God has called me to is in Texas.   I’m thankful for how God continues to bring people in my life to teach me and help me learn and grow, even though at the time it may not always be the easiest thing to learn.  I love that He has continued to confirm to me that He wants me to study Biblical Counseling and that He wants to use me in that.  The word of God is so important and it can help us in matters of the soul! In fact it is the only thing that really can!   When I fix my eyes on Jesus and rely on Him to fix my soul all my problems somehow fade away! God is so good and faithful! Let us continue to seek Him and His Word every day, moment by moment!!!

I will continue to pray for you as you go forward in the vision that God is giving you as you seek His will.
