Ukulele lesson...embracing the Hawaiian culture
Hey y’all I had my second ukulele lesson today with Aldrine from ukulele underground.com! It was so amazing and he was so sweet and patient and helpful! Y’all it was a dream come true to have a lesson with him!!!
To give you a little backstory I started praying about coming to Hawaii in November of 2017. I’ve been wanting to come my whole life though! I’ve always loved the ukulele and the sound of it and have wanted to learn how to play it! I went on YouTube and was looking for video tutorials on how to play the ukulele. I would always come to the videos by Aldrine and at the end they would advertise their website ukuleleunderground.com. At first I didn’t really think much of it but then I decided to finally check it out and subscribe to it a couple of weeks or so before I went to Hawaii. Y’all it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! They are so sweet and helpful and are so good with teaching you how to play the ukulele and about the Hawaiian language and music! Aldrine is so sweet and patient! It takes me a while to learn things sometimes so mahalo nui loa to him for being so patient and helpful to me! Anyways my dream is to meet him in person one day and see him perform live! If I can get to Kauiu before I leave I might try, but for now it’s been so amazing to have had lessons with him! It has really helped me to improve on the ukulele and to get the Hawaiian style of playing and to get to know the Hawaiian language. If y'all want to learn the ukulele or want to learn it better I would highly recommend that you go and check out their website www.ukuleleunderground.com
Mahalo and aloha nui loa!!! A hui hou! 💖🌺🤙🏻
