remembering 9/11
I don't really have an amazing story for what happened to me on 9/11. It was pretty much a normal day for me. I was a junior in high school and I remember being in school and hearing about the events that had happened. But I think at the time I couldn't really completely understand all that had happened. At the time I first heard about it I didn't realize how bad it was going to actually get until it actually happened.
Afterwards though when I would listen to the stories and read the stories about what had happened it made me think about everything more. I remember reading the book about a man named Todd who was in the plane that flew into the Pennsylvania field and his famous saying "Lets Roll." I remember hearing about all the people that died and were injured. I remember hearing about all the brave people that stood strong until the very end. 9/11 probably faced a lot of people with their eternal destiny and made them realize their need for God. I wonder how many people who were facing death were evaluating their life at that moment and if they were ready/not ready to meet God. I wonder what my reaction would have been had I been on one of those planes or in that building. I wonder if I would have been bold to share the gospel with those who didn't know about Jesus. I wonder if I would have been brave and would have stood strong for Jesus or if I would have been weakened with fear?
These things I will never know but I what I can know and what I can choose now is how I am going to react in the future. That no matter what happens to me I will rejoice in the Lord and like Paul I will be content in every circumstance. I need to always be prepared to share the gospel with a lost and dying world and with those who need Jesus. Lets commit to knowing God moment by moment, reading His Word and sharing with everybody the hope of Christ and how they can have a relationship with Him!

When you look back you can see how God has worked in your life and how much you have matured spiritually. It is wonderful that you are eager to share the gospel.
