Seeking God first
I went to a friends wedding today. It was a beautiful wedding that pointed to Christ and gave God all the glory! When I get married that is what I want my wedding to be like! It was a worship service to God with the Word being preached and an invitation being given for people to confess and follow Christ! E is one of the sweetest and most pure godly woman that I know. She is self-sacrificing and always thinkigs of others and puts others before herself. She has done so much for me and has always been there for me helping me and challenging me to be more like Christ. I hope my life points to Christ the way she does.
While the wedding was going on I was thinking about how I might end up single and why God would have be be so lonely and have so much pain sometimes. Then immediately it was like God was like get over yourself and stop feeling sorry for yourself. I remembered that God doesn’t have to give me anything. He doesn’t promise that it will be easy, only that He will always be with me. Maybe sometimes we may feel alone or be waiting for God to bring somebody in our life that we can serve God together with, but maybe that is just to teach us how to completely fall in love with God and to show us that He is all that we need!
One thing that E said tonight that impacted me was that she had been praying that God would bring her husband in her life and that he would be a Titus 2 man. She said she prayed he would be a man that she could serve God along side and that God would make it perfectly clear to her and that when M came into her life she knew perfectly clear that he was the man God wanted her to marry and that he was the man she wanted to serve God alongside. I think it was a wake up call for me and a good reminder that maybe I am not praying fervently enough for God to bring a man in my life that I can serve God alongside. It reminded me I need to pray more that God would make it perfectly clear to me who this man is. I will keep praying for this and in the mean time I know that I also need to continue to pursue God above all else and love Him more and spend more time with Him and get to now Him more. In order to have a Titus 2 man I need to be a Titus 2 woman and a Proverbs 31 woman. Let’s continue to run this race together, worshipping God moment by moment!

Lisa, you are becoming more like the woman that a Christian man is looking for. I truly believe that God has a man for you that will complement you in every way. Each of you will bring the other exactly where God wants you to be. Psalm 37:4 : Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
