The B•I•B•L•E yes that’s the book for me!
Do you remember the song that you sang as a child growing up? Or maybe you still sing it now?
It goes like this. The BIBLE yes that’s the book for me. I stand alone on the word of God, the BIBLE.
We need to get back to the faith of a child. We need to get back to the faith of a child sitting at their father’s feet just wanting to hear from him. We need to get back to the point where the Bible is more important than our thoughts or our feelings or anything else. We need to stand alone on the word of God. We need to stand up for the truths in God’s Word. We need to stop worrying about being like the world and stop worrying so much about offending people and stop worrying about being politically correct. We need to worry about being pleading and obedient to God. We need to love people but we need to love them to Christ! We can’t be hypocritical but we need to stand up for the truth in God’s Word. Some people may never listen and they may come up with every excuse not to believe but not everybody will believe. The road is narrow and few will enter it. We need to speak the truth in love and hold each other accountable. We need to spend time with God and spend time in His Word! We need to have a heart that is humble and that is repentant! Life is hard y’all and the only way we will get through it is with Jesus! I believe that the answers to so many of our problems is in the Bible and that our hope is in Jesus Christ! People may think that is too simple but it makes me think of an analogy I believe my pastor, Pastor Bob Pearle gave at one point. They used to have cake mixes so that you would just have to mix the cake mix and water together or something like that but people thought it was too simple so they made it so you needed to add eggs and oil. Y’all we just need Jesus and the Bible, we don’t need to add any “eggs” or “oil”. God sent His son to die for our sins and because of Him we have help and we have hope and we have all we need for life and godliness.
I don’t know if you remember this song or have heard it but I love how it reminds us that we need to get back to the basics of life. We’re starting to forget what is right and wrong and not knowing what is true sometimes. We need to get back to the truth in the Bible! Love y’all and am praying for you!
