Seeing God through a father’s love

Today I went to a friends wedding and watched her become united in marriage to the man God had prepared for her, to the one she loves with all her heart.  Y'all I don't remember how long I have known Kathy Grace but she has been a blessing to me.  From the first day I met her she has always been super encouraging to me and super sweeet.  She always has a smile on her face and I can see the love of God and love of others on her face. When I left to take seminary classes online she is one person I missed the most.  The kind of love Kathy Grace has can only come from God and from parents who love God and have raised their children to love God.

Y'all today I watched Kathy Grace's father perform their wedding ceremony.  He was sharing the gospel y'all.  He was sharing the truth from God's Word.  It was a godly wedding ceremony and every time I see him and his wife I can see how much they love God and how much they love others.  When Kathy Grace danced with her father it was so evident how much they loved each other.

Y'all that is a love that only Jesus can give.  Jesus is the only reason it is possible for us to love others and for others to love us.  He died for us while we were still sinners, while we were still ugly and unlovable.  He came and took our dirty hearts and He cleaned them and He made us knew.  Y'all in the midst of the craziness that is going on in the world and in the midst of the craziness that goes on in our own lives even I hope y'all remember that Jesus is the only one who can give you hope!  Cling to His promises! Spend time in prayer and reading the Bible! Spend time getting to know Him!  As my mentor Mary Kaye once said "To know Him is to love Him" and the more you know Him the more you will want to know Him.  Commit His Word to your heart and to your memory and when trials and tribulation come the Holy Spirit will bring His words to your mind.  When you don't know what to do focus on Christ and He will show you! Ultimately love God and let your love of God impact all your other relationships!  Psalm 3:3 is one of my favorite verses.  It says, "But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head." Love y'all and thankful to run this race with you!!!

  1. "He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love." I am glad you have wonderful people that show you love. Just keep showing others this same love and God will continue to bless you.
