Being content

I don’t think the devil wants us to be content.  Every time we think we are content he comes along and is like I don’t like this and I don’t want this.  If you are content in being single everybody will want you to be in a relationship and wonder what’s wrong with you and why you are not married.  If you are married they will wonder why you are not married.  If you are graduating people will wonder what your plans are and what you are going to do for your future.  People have wanted me to have a 5 year plan but I don’t even have a 5 day plan much less a five year plan.  All I can say is I know God has opened and closed the doors that He has wanted to close and open for me.  I have walked in faith knowing that He will reveal His Will for me and He has.  Maybe I haven’t done everything perfectly and I have not always followed Him perfectly but I have sought to follow Him with all of my heart.  There are some things I wonder should I really have done that? I feel like I just completely messed it up. Sometimes I’m surprised I’m graduating from seminary and will have two degrees.  That is evidence that God exists and that He was calling me to do that because I could have never have done that on my own!  People might judge you or you might think they are judging you but we don’t need to worry about what other people think.  We only need to be concerned that we are pleasing God and that we are bringing glory to Him! People may fail us and disappoint us but God never will!  He will never leave us!

  1. I am so happy that you content knowing that God has your future planned for you. I believe one of your favorite Bible verses and one of mine is to "trust in the Lord with all your heart...and He with direct your path".God has a perfect plan for you; He will direct your path.
